Instrumentale project met Brusselse roots van André Breidlid (drums), Matteo Genovese (bas) & Jan Janzen (toetsen). De 3 komen uit verschillende hoeken van Europa en hebben elkaar ontmoet in Brussel. In hun muziek weerspiegelen ze de geest van de stad.

Ze halen voornamelijk inspiratie uit jazz, en creëren zo een sfeervolle atmosfeer met behulp van broken beats en catchy melodieën. Hierbij wordt er steeds plaats gelaten voor improvisatie. Hun muziek is origineel en onverschrokken. Invloeden gaan van BADBADNOTGOOD tot Christian Scott. Nadat ze in de oren van smaakmaker Lefto waren gevallen, werd de band uitgenodigd op Kiosk Radio & uitgezonden op WORLDWIDE FM. Hun meest recente worp heet "II" en dateert van vorig najaar.

Un trio instrumental se trouvant quelque part entre hip-hop et jazz, KAU trio vient de la scène Bruxelloise maintenant connue pour leur Tukan, ECHT! et STUFF. Ils ont deux albums à leur nom, dont le super “II” qui est sorti l’année passée.

KAU trio. is an instrumental project based in Brussels consisting of André Breidlid (drums), Matteo Genovese (bass) & Jan Janzen (keys). Representing various European backgrounds, their coming-together is in the spirit of the city they grew up in.

Taking inspiration from jazz they create a head-bobbing atmosphere using bassy beats and catchy melodies. By implementing acoustic instruments, the trio stays true to an organic sound. This gives them the ability to leave space for improvisation & spontaneity. Influenced by artists like BADBADNOTGOOD & Christian Scott, their music is original and audacious.

After falling into the ears of tastemaker Lefto, the band was invited on Kiosk Radio & aired on WORLDWIDE FM.
